Bonsoiree Chef Tapped for Beard Dinner

2009_04_thompson_1.jpg Shin Thompson has taken Bonsoirée from an underground dinner club to one of the better BYOB joints in town with his fusion of French and Japanese cuisines and detailed-yet-affordable tasting menus.

Thompson's been tabbed to be the chef for the annual James Beard Foundation dinner June 22 at the James Beard House in New York City. This is a highly coveted gig for chefs, as their cooking will be on full display to a dining room full of peers and some of the most respected critics in the world.
