None of the older signs has the word "Honorary" on them. That's a recent addition, maybe two years at the most. And I have seen locations where the real street sign has been stolen & only the honorary one was left.

Fioretti says firefighters worry that a person reporting an accident in a strange neighborhood may call 9-1-1 and give the wrong street because they're looking at the honorary sign. Are people really this dumb, that they'll look up at the two street signs, one green and one brown and say there's a fire on "Honorary Frankie Knuckles Way"? *sighs*: Yes.
