When he's not smack-talking Sen. Durbin, U.S. Sen. Roland Burris is apparently planning on sticking around at his current gig. In an interview with ABC 7's Charles Thomas, Burris said - albeit in a round-a-bout way - that he plans for running to keep his seat in 2010.

One last question for Roland Burris: Will you run for a full term as U.S. senator in the February, 2010, Democratic primary?

"I basically say I'm not going anywhere," Burris said.

What do we take from that?

"I'm not going anywhere," said Burris.

How should we take that?

"You can take it as you see it."

Of course, Burris has constantly been hounded by the issue of money. Thomas reports Burris as having about $900 in his campaign fund, well short of the $12 million experts project is needed to run a full, statewide campaign.

Please. Doesn't he know that image is everything in politics? Get a clue, Mr. Burris: you're "going anywhere" we vote you to go.

His top campaign contributor? The Republican party. Or at least they should be if they want to actually win a U.S. Senate seat here.

He's about as popular as a week old pork sandwich in Mexico City.

Topical humor...ZING!

I love Biden's facepalm by the way.

That photo is a classic.

I'm voting for Burris cause this is nothing but Racism against short arrogant people! I've always wanted George Jefferson as a Senator!

No watch I get alot of hate comments about me insulting George Jefferson cause at least George was Black

p.s. Chicagoist, please post more pictures of him pointing. I love those pictures

I'd like to see tons of Illinois citizens send checks to his campaign fund....in the amount of one cent each, just to show him how much we all care. If he got enough of those one cent checks, do you think he'd get the message?

Re: Ingrid -

"If he got enough of those one cent checks, do you think he'd get the message?"

No. Sadly. Although I like the idea.
