Hiding Somewhere In The Night

By Johnny Loftus in Arts & Entertainment on May 1, 2009 5:40PM

2009_05_jtteotn.jpg For all you boppers out there in the big city, here's a free activity that blends urban orienteering with street-level, um, "IRL" social networking and the thrill of those catch-me-if-you-can outdoor runarounds of childhood summer evenings.

In Journey to the End of the Night, players on foot and in trains aim to clear checkpoints around the city, all the while being pursued by "chasers." Fall behind, and you become a chaser yourself, which we're pretty sure was one of the better components of the old Ghost in the Graveyard games we played in the backyard as kids.

Players are asked to meet tomorrow night, May 2, at 6:30 p.m. at 280 S. Columbus (at Jackson). From there the game will spread across the city. The action culminates with an afterparty (for both gamers and non) at Co-Prosperity Sphere featuring music from These Are Powers, Chain & the Gang, Hive Dwellers, and Mahjongg.

Warriors, come out and plaaay!
