Media outlets all over the city are reporting that State Police have taken Drew Peterson into custody. Reports say state police arrested Peterson at his home around 5:30 p.m. this afternoon. CBS 2 reports that it's in connection with the death of Wife #3 Kathleen Savio.

6:25 p.m. - The Tribune is reporting that Will County State's Atty. James Glasgow and Illinois State Police Capt. Carl Dobrich will hold a news conference at 8:30 p.m. As for Peterson's outspoken lawyer, Joel Brodsky, when reached by phone, he said, "You know more than I do. I'm on a plane it's taking off in 5 minutes to go to NYC. I guess they'll have a bond hearing Monday."

6:30 p.m. - The Herald News reports state police Lt. Carl Anderson as saying, “The charge right now is the murder of Kathleen Savio." Classy to the end, Peterson said to reporters upon his arrest, “I guess I should have returned those library books."

I guess they had to rush that through to get him before he got to Nevada.
This is some good/surprising news though...never thought I'd see the day come!

I'm just hoping they have the evidence they need all lined up with properly punctuated i's and t's. I think a conviction is going to be a challenge, though I wish them the best.

"I guess they had to rush that through to get him before he got to Nevada."

I think that's a coincidence as Nevada would happily extradite his ass back here for a murder charge.

That lying sack of shit, we all know he doesn't read BOOKS.
