Cop On Horseback Catches Thief

After someone's iPhone was snatched away from their ear, police on horseback chased and captured the subject, then arrested him and charged him with felony robbery.

According to the Sun-Times:

[Derrick] Taylor allegedly fled and the victim -- who also gave chase -- was able to flag down an officer on horseback who then picked up the chase, according to the report.

More officers joined in and Taylor was placed in custody, allegedly with the iPhone in his possession, the report said.

It was not immediately known whether the horse was given apples or carrots as reward for catching the thief.
