It's the Day of Decision in California. In a little over an hour, the California Supreme Court will issue its ruling either overturning or upholding the controversial Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California. Prop 8 was passed in last November's election and came as a shock to many. But the effects weren't just felt in California; even here in Chicago there were numerous protests against the decision.
And tonight, there will be another rally in Chicago, either celebrating the overturning of Prop 8 or protesting the upholding of it. The rally will take place at 7 p.m. at the Center on Halsted (3656 North Halsted St). More information can be found here.
