FREE Lupe Fiasco Show In Grant Park

Next door to this year's Taste of Chicago the Nike 6.0 BMX Open will be underway from June 26 - 27 in Grant Park. While the image of BMX bikers butting heads with stout suburbanites wielding oversized turkey legs is enough to set our phasers on "gleeful irony" we've learned a little piece of news that makes the event all the more awesome.

On Friday, June 26, Chicago's own Lupe Fiasco will be performing a free show in conjunction with the BMX Open!

Lupe Fiasco is not only one of the most talented and brainy wordsmiths in hip-hop today, his stage show is absolutely incredible, combining acrobatics, a full band, and a showmanship that makes most every other rapper look like they've just downed a case of Robitussin.

So take a break from the Taste that day and get yourself over to catch Lupe's set.
