Thursday Afternoon Diversion: Tiananmen Square, 20 Years Later

We usually do something light-hearted for our daily diversion posts, but we'd be remiss in not acknowledging the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing. The total number of deaths has long been disputed with estimates ranging anywhere from 186 to 10,000, though the Chinese Government has officially said 241 died. Below is the iconic moment of the entire incident as well as one of the most lasting images of protest in history.
