Love = Love, A Photo Exhibit

You've seen the photos of Christa Lohman here on this site many times. Posting under the Flickr name Chloeloe, her amazing photos have appeared in both our daily Around Town feature and we also used some of her photos in various Prop 8 galleries. And it's her Prop 8 photos that are getting more attention in the form of a new exhibit opening tonight.
According to Lohman: "I hope that my images personalize this 21st century struggle for equality and serve as a testament to all people who have fought in the past and are currently fighting for their civil rights. In Chicago, the gay community and their supporters took to the streets that November day as others were rallying across the nation against this setback. I intend for these photos to serve as an inspiration and a call to continue the work that needs to be done. "
The exhibit, titled "Love = Love: Protesting Proposition 8," opens tonight at The Center on Halsted with a reception - with a suggested $5 donation - and runs through July 5th.
