Eat This: Artisan Beer and Cheese at Provenance Logan Square

2009_06_arcadia.jpg Former Unibroue "Culinary Attache" Jim Javenkoski has taken his knowledge of great beer and his PhD. in food science to Arcadia Brewing Company, where he now holds the title of "Ale-vangelistâ„ ".

Next Monday Javenkoski teams up with Sara Hill of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board and Gaylon Emerzian, co-producer of the documentary "Living On The Wedge", for an evening of pairing artisan cheeses with selected Arcadia ales. There will also be some discussion about Wisconsin's artisan and farmstead cheese industry. The tasting will take place at Provenance Food and Wine's Logan Square location (2528 N. California Avenue) from 7-9 p.m. Oh, before we forget: this is free.

Sounds fun - but you forgot to mention when it is.

According to the Wisconsin Cheese website, the event is on Monday, June 15th.

My bad. I must have read (er, skimmed) the text five times and missed it each time. d'oh.
