The 40th annual Gay & Lesbian Pride Parade kicks off at noon on Sunday, June 28, starting north down Halsted from Belmont. A map of the full parade route is below. The party starts today, though, so check out the rest of the festivities! Also, feel free to share more events in the comments.

  • Chicago Pride Fest starts today at 3:00 p.m. on Waveland and Halsted. Stop by today until 10:00 p.m., or the party picks up again tomorrow, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Debbie Gibson performs Saturday at 4:15 p.m. Suggested $7 donation.
  • June is Pride month, and PRIDEChicago still has events all over town until Tuesday.
  • There will be a Pet Pride Parade at Pride Fest on Saturday, June 27, 12:30 p.m.
  • The RedEye has a list of "pride without the party" speaking events and discussion panels.
  • On Saturday the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus will perform "Over the Rainbow" in tribute to Judy Garland at Lakeshore Theater, 3175 N. Broadway. 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Tickets $25.
  • Chicago Filmmakers present a free outdoor screening of "Mamma Mia!" (Sing-along version) on Saturday, June 27 at Osterman Beach, 5800 N. Lake Shore, starting at dusk.
