Have You Seen Our Colon?

White Sox GM Kenny Williams wants to know if you've seen his Colon. Bartolo, that is. It may seem unlikely to lose sight of the rotund pitcher, but that's exactly what's happened. Scheduled to make a rehab start with their Triple-A team in Charlotte on Thursday after a stint in Arizona, the White Sox have been unable to get in touch with Colon. Said Williams, "Efforts to contact his agent have been successful. Their efforts to contact their client have not been so successful."

Bartolo Colon has been on the DL after injuring his knee in early June. Apparently ready to get back on the mound, the Sox would like Colon ready to return before a July 24 double header. But if he remains MIA long enough to miss his start on Thursday?

The Sox filled his spot in the rotation with Clayton Richard, and they have also been actively pursuing other starting pitchers. So his chances of factoring into the Sox rotation down the stretch might dim even further if he doesn't reappear soon.
