  • All Month Long: BIN 36 celebrates 10 years of business with $6 wine and food specials. Enjoy $6 glasses of their house chardonnay, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah, or $6 gougres or hummus with pita. (339 N. Dearborn)
  • Saturday: Ale Fest goes down at Soldier Field from 2-6 p.m. Enjoy over 200 ale selections from 80 breweries. Cost is $40 for 20 selections; $10 designated drivers.
  • Saturday: We already mentioned the block party Kuma's Corner is throwing to commemorate its 4th anniversary yesterday. Here's your reminder and a caveat: "free food' does not mean grazing on complimentary Mastodons all day; it's brats and hot dogs. You've now been duly warned - wear your vintage Deicide t-shirt at your own risk. (2900 W. Belmont)
  • Saturday: French in Chicago's Bastille Day Festival will showcase food by Cook Au Vin's Vincent Colombet, live entertainment, a top model competition and sports. Go for Colombet's cooking. [Oz Park (Lincoln and Webster), 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.]
  • Sunday: While we've already penciled in that August 23 Publican/New Holland beer dinner (you know, the one Paul Kahan brewed a beer for?), July's version at Kahan's beer, pork and oyster palace will feature selections from Great Lakes Brewing Company. (837 W. Fulton Market, 5-10 p.m., $40, beer pairings an extra $15-$25.)
  • Monday: The Tour de France hits Loire starting Monday. Diners will also be able to order a prix fixe menu focusing on a different region of France, get to watch rebroadcasts of the day's stages, have an opportunity to win a bike from Kozy's by "guessing" the day's stage winner (easy to do since it's a rebroadcast), and get to view Brasserie JO's own autographed Lance Armstrong jersey. (59 W. Hubbard)
  • Tuesday: Marché's Bastille Day Blowout features food, drinks and burlesque performance from Michelle L'Amour and the Lavendar Cabaret. guests will also receive a $50 marché gift certificate. (833 W. Randolph St., 7-9 p.m.)

i hope the designated drivers get something in return for their $10 entrance fee besides watching people get drunk and driving said drunks home.
