So yesterday was the annual chef's BBQ at Green City Market, which a few folks on twitter have called "the real Taste of Chicago." No arguments there. Not even a passing thunderstorm could keep people away from indulging in pure unadulterated gluttony.
Imagine our pleasure to waking up and finding these wonderful shots of the BBQ in our Chicagoist flickr pool, courtesy of Kirk Bravender. Now we know what we missed. Thanks a lot, Kirk (kidding). These are great shots that also mark the halfway point of a Chicago summer. the days are only getting shorter from here.

I thought it was cool, especially given that it was in Lincoln Park and the DJ was surprisingly good. Over all a good event! Next time consider doing this in Logan Square
