Say "Good Buy" to Joseph Lappie

There goes another one: Local artist Joseph Lappie is moving to Davenport, IA for a year (at least) to become an assistant professor of Printmaking and Book Arts at St. Ambrose University. To lighten his moving load, he's holding an online art sale -- and it ends Saturday, Aug. 1 (that's tomorrow!) at 6 p.m. Pieces marked down by 50%! Prices are in-saaane.

Lappie will take down the site tomorrow, so you must act fast. But if you have chosen not to believe this fact, or if you simply oppose making purchases on the Internet for ethical or other reasons, then you can drop by Lappie's art auction/going-away party tomorrow at his apartment, 2538 N. Central Park Ave., #2. from 6-10 p.m. Special auction-only drawings will be on display. We are not sure if he will serve fruit punch and windmill cookies, but one can hope.

Mindful of good customer service practices, Lappie will personally deliver your purchases if you live in or near Chicago. He will also ship small purchases free of charge.
