We know Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane have been dominating the hockey headlines lately, but there's reason for Blackhawks fans to rejoice: single game tickets went on sale earlier today. Skate on by and pick some up.

You might want to hold off on rejoicing if you are trying to get tickets to any of the "premium" (a.k.a. high-demand) games. I was constantly refreshing the Ticketmaster site at 10am for all three of the games Detroit is playing in Chicago this year (yes I am a Wings fan, living in Chicago. Flame away.) In the time it took me to see that tickets were officially onsale, make my selections, and fill out the captchas, the affordable tickets for all three had apparently sold out. For each, I got the message saying that there were no tickets left that matched my selection. I went back and tried for all the upper bowl pricing tiers with the same result.
I think I liked it better when the Hawks were terrible and I could pretty much buy tickets on the day of the game.
