Windy City White House

2009_09_14_olympics.jpg As if there weren't enough reasons to call it The Windy City White House, we've got another. Mayor Daley, along with a handful of Olympic athletes, will be paying a visit to our Commander-in-Chief later this week in a high-profile attempt to promote the city's 2016 Olympic bid ahead of next month's IOC vote. According to the Trib:

The event, planned for the South Lawn, also will draw representatives of Chicago 2016, the city's bid committee, and World Sport Chicago, a non-profit that is advancing Chicago's Olympic hopes and promoting youth sports. Olympic and paralympic athletes will demonstrate their sports after the president and first lady speak. The event is at 2 p.m. Chicago time.
