Chicago To Get New Radio Station ... LAST.FM

User generated weekly charts will "inform" the playlists populating the new LAST.FM stations launching in four U.S. markets including Chicago. This Wired article seems to be slightly more informative. Only slightly though. http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2009/09/cbs-to-launch-lastfm-radio-stations-in-top-four-us-markets/

Yeah, I didn't have much to go on. I'm always mystified by the online entities that seem to want so badly to go terrestrial...

i would think it's different from the usual computer generated playlists in that this is coming from listener-chosen data vs. from the suits at record companies.

it's different because this lets me, uh, I mean bored nerds scrobble Rick Astley over and over to cause widespread terror.
