Are people still listening to WBEZ?

Why? The local programming (like 848) is pretty awful and you can get nearly all of the NPR/APR/PRI shows on-line or in Podcast form.

848 is a great idea, but the execution can be really, really awful. I want more locally-focused programming, but Richard Steele is the clumsiest interviewer I've heard on NPR. If they focused on bringing in more reporters to talk stories, more political reporting, less "I grew up in Jefferson Park and here' a 90 stanza poem about that" and NEVER take calls EVER, it would be a fine show.

Talk of the Nation is going away?! That blows.
