CPS Still Lacks Teachers

It's been three weeks since (most) Chicago Public Schools kicked off the new school year, but in some schools, like Amundsen High School, there's still a heavy need for teachers. WBEZ has the details.

Yeah, sure, the CPS needs high school teachers.

Unfortunately, the CPS keeps bad teachers while getting rid of good ones.

My brother was a CPS high school teacher for two years. He put his heart and soul into it. Then, this summer, he was laid off. It did not matter how good he was. He didn't know the right people.

Fortunately, he found a job teaching at a community college in the suburbs.
