Chili Cookoff to Benefit Arts Of Life

The Arts of Life is a non-profit community that uses art to assist developmentally disabled adults discover personal growth. On November 7 at 5 p.m. Arts of Life, Half Acre Beer Company, Nice Cream and Chicagoist will host a chili cookoff to benefit Arts of Life's programming.

The cookoff will be held at Arts of Life's studios (2010 W. Carroll) starting at 5 p.m. Entrants will be judged by a representative of each sponsor, artists from the studio and artists from Rodan and Bite Café, as well as by guests. The winner of the judges panel will receive artwork signed by studio artist Kris Schenkel and have the winning recipe highlighted on this very site. The winners of the audience judging will receive artwork from other studio artists. There will be a vegetarian option at the cookoff provided by the Kids Table, who will also be giving away a free cooking class at a raffle.

Tickets to the event are $5 in advance, $10 on the day of the event. Cookoff entrants must pay a fee of $20 and bring at least a crockpot full of chili for the event. Too purchase tickets or register, click here.
