Just five games into his tenure, Bears GM Jerry Angelo rewarded quarterback Jay Cutler with a two-year, $30 million contract extension. The deal includes about $20 million in guaranteed money. Already under contact through 2011, the team now holds Cutler's rights through 2013. The Bears stopped short, however, of ensuring Cutler will retire a Bear -- he'll still be just 30 years old when his new deal expires. While his deal is nowhere near the six-year deals pushing $100 million that other young franchise QBs have received, if Cutler continues to put up numbers like he has so far, we have a feeling Angelo and Cutler will be making more deals in the future.

Of course, it didn't take long for Ochocinco to claim credit for Cutler's big payday. Now what exactly is The Receiver Formerly known as Chad Johnson referring to when talking about a "tweet back"? It seems Chad and Cutler had a brief, good-natured trash-talking exchange on Twitter, which we explore after the jump.

Ochocinco has pretty much always been one of the biggest loudmouths in the NFL, and Twitter has only given him yet another outlet for running his mouth... er, fingers. With the Bears heading to Cincy to play his Bengals this weekend, he's already begun the trash talking in 140 characters or less.

On Monday, Ochocinco launched the first shot across the bow:

@jaycutler6 tell your defense I'm gonna run circles around them, I'm mad we lost, peanut Tillman is gonna kiss da baby along with the rest

Cutler responded - "@OGOchoCinco Peanut on you with safety over top. You got it. Anything else you would like me to pass on?" and the two went at it tweet for tweet, before defensive end Alex Brown jumped into the fray:

@OGOchoCinco lol my db's are ready and I have all the respect in the world for Carson but it's hard to complete passes from his back ;)

The Bengals wideout and Bears defensive end then jawed over their relative speediness. While Cutler said he was going to leave the trash talking to the outspoken receiver when on Waddle & Silvy's radio show Tuesday, he did eventually wrap up the banter by thanking Ochocinco for the lucrative contract extension.
