We love our pets here at Chicagoist and so we're excited that the Great American Pet Expo is coming to Navy Pier November 14th and 15th. The Expo will feature demonstrations and presentations on products and services for pet owners including: Pet foods and treats, beds, art, pet photographers, leashes for Fido and Fluffy, coats for your dog, etc. We may have heard some rumors about pet dancing. Yes. We saw that episode of King of the Hill, too.
We admit to taking a few pictures here and there of our monsters. If you do the same, you can enter the pet photography contest to win free tickets to the Expo. We decided to compile some of our favorite staff pet photos. Enjoy!

Actually, I don't really know; he was a rescue puppy and they weren't really sure. Best guess is a rottweiler/shepherd mix. And he's a handful but definitely a dog with a sunny disposition, all smiles and fun. not a very good intern, though. makes a horrible pot of coffee and his copy editing skills leave much to be desired...
Maybe you should hire Betty as his personal assistant...she may inspire him to clean up his act!!!!

Yes! No question of which is the alpha cat, right? This photo is basically a summation of their relationship. As relationships go...it's pretty co-dependent and toxic.

Also, I have a cat named Franklin. If my cat married Marcus' dog...well, that would just be weird.
