New Area Code A Week Away

Now that we've dealt with the annual "fall back," (you did fall back, didn't you?), it's time to focus on...well, how about the new area code? The new code - 872 - cranks up Saturday, November 7. But perhaps the biggest change for locals will be the institution of 11-digit dialing. Instead of just dialing a seven digit number and having it get redirected to the proper area code (i.e., 312 or 773), you'll now have to add 1 + the appropriate area code to the number as well.
