The Hood Internet -- the DJ duo of STV SLV and ABX -- has come a long way since they first started to drop their inde / hip-hop mash-ups, and even further since they played their first live show at an event put together by a certain local website. (O.K., we admit it, we're a little proud of the fact that we were on-board with the boys back before they started their jet-set lifestyle and became a household name in the music blogosphere. Sue us.)
All weekend STV SLV has been teasing via Twitter that their next mixtape would drop today and lo and behold, it appeared on their website bright and early this A.M. No word on whether the duo set it to publish so early or if they uploaded it after yet another night of getting the kids to dance to their uniquely infective soundtrack. Grab it, give it a listen, and get your Monday off to a turbocharged start.

That was a great show, totally. Or it would have been, if I didn't get kicked out at midnight for being 20, because it was apparently only 18+ until right before the Hood began their set.
*holds irrational grudges*

Man, I remember that happening and being caught totally off guard! Naturally, shortly afterward, is when they changed the policy on that sort of thing.Dang!
In retrospect, I should have made a bigger stink. Oh well. I've never known a venue to use logic when coming up with age rules.
