Jim Kopeny/Chicagoist Oh, Andrew Bird. We've made no secret in the past about our crush on you. And now you've given us another reason to add to the adoration. In an interview with the BBC, [via Pitchfork], Bird says he's recorded a cover of of Kermit The Frog's classic tune, "It's Not Easy Bein' Green." It's part of a tribute record to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street and the 'Fork reports it'll also feature Weezer and My Morning Jacket.
The BBC interview also has other Bird news, including info on a soundtrack he's scoring and "an arboretum of sonic sculptures" he's working on with a local artist. While we wait for that Kermit cover, entertain yourself with this video of a knock-out performance of "Anonanimal."

yay french!
So, let me get this straight, after throwing a SH*T fit over his use of "We all live in a Capital I" from Seseme Street to the point where PBS refused to let him sell the song or even sing it in public (I believe it was rewritten into a wore version call Imotosis), he's going to collaborate with him to recreate this song?
How about they let him sing capital I again??
