Democratic Socialists in Evanston for National Convention

The Democratic Socialists of America held their national convention in Evanston this weekend. Wearing buttons proclaiming "Obama's No Socialist, But I Am," the meeting brought resolutions and amendments for consideration and reveled in their vision of a "world without bosses."

Although I wasn't going to attend, I was disappointed that Cornel West cancelled I so wanted to download or you tube his speech to hear his wise words on Obama, our economy, etc, etc,etc, etc,

Totally thought this said Dramatic Socialists in Evanston for National Convention at first glance. I think I like it better that way.

Kind of wish I would've known about this before the weekend especially if West would've shown up. Today's socialist meetings and conventions are usually pretty sad affairs though from what I remember...
