It was a light evening of Chicago sports but with both the Blackhawks and Bulls in action, tonight will be much more eventful.

  • Northwestern's upset bid against #10 Butler fell short in Evanston last night as the Bulldogs won 67-54. The Wildcats hung tough, trailing by only six at the half, but a 20-4 run by Butler to start the second half put the game out of reach for the short-handed Northwestern bunch. The Wildcats' Michael Thompson led all scorers with 16 points.
  • The UIC Flames were doused last night by the Chippewas of Central Michigan to the tune of a 67-48 final. Robo Kreps had 12 points in the losing effort and Jeremy Buttell had 11 points and 7 rebounds.
