Glass, Granite Snarl Ike

A truck carrying plates of glass struck an overhead sign, sending shards of glass and pieces of granite scattering across several inbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway, forcing the closure of two lanes. No one was hurt in the accident but as of 8 a.m., inbound traffic was still snarled due to the accident. [Tribune]
