If you live or work in Lincoln Square or Northcenter, CenterSquareLedger.com should be in your bookmarks list of daily reads for news. The hyperlocal news site, which launches today, plans to cover the goings on in this community of 80,000 people. "Anywhere outside of the Chicago metro area, and our coverage area would fill a daily newspaper," says co-founder and former Chicagoist writer Mike Fourcher. "We want to cover the things missed by the Tribune and Sun-Times - the upcoming church ball, new development, where to recycle your Christmas tree."

Fourcher, who is a political consultant by day, is starting the site with fellow Lincoln Square neighbor, Patrick Boylan, who blogs about the Chicago Wolves for Chicago Now. At the moment, CenterSquareLedger.com is a part-time enterprise for Boylan and Fourcher, but they've got their first advertiser, and they're open to contributors. "For free, for the moment," says Fourcher. "We're running this off our credit cards for the time being. We'd love to have an ad sales person though!"
