When the wind cuts through a wind-resistant winter coat like it did this morning, a nice serving of port goes a long way to getting through the day. Preferably a nice, spicy tawny port.

Randolph Wine Cellars (1415 W. Randolph) will be giving customers a free crash course on port wine this evening from 6:30-8 p.m. the course will be taught by Robert Bower, a port wine expert who represents the port wine brands Taylor Fladgate, Fonseca, and Croft , will be on hand describing the differences between port wine styles and pouring samples of the brands he represents.
