Rose Bows Out Of Rookie Game

Next weekend was shaping up to be a busy one for the Bulls' lone All-Star, Derrick Rose. Rose was already set to defend his Skills Challenge title on Saturday night and was selected as a reserve for the All-Star Game itself, set for Sunday night. As a result, so he won't have to compete on events for three straight nights, Rose has bowed out of the Rookie Challenge game, scheduled for Friday night. The game matches up rookies versus second year stars. The Bulls will still be represented in that game, though, by rookie Taj Gibson.
