Authorities have discovered what they think is evidence in the Darien triple-homicide of Jeffrey Kramer, 50, his wife Lori Kramer, 46, and their son Michael, 20. The evidence was found in a trash bin outside an IHOP Restaurant in Terre Haute, Indiana though the evidence has not yet been scientifically linked to the crime.

Perhaps even more enlightening is surveillance footage showing Jacob Nodarse, the prime suspect in the killings who also gave authorities a statement (reported by some sources to be a confession), with the ex-boyfriend of the Kramers' daughter Angela. Angela was home at the time of the killings, hiding in an upstairs closet from which she called police. The Daily Herald explains:

Meanwhile, Angela Kramer's 28-year-old ex-boyfriend - with whom she has a 13-month-old son - has been held without charges since 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Darien police station, sources said. Prosecutors typically have a 72-hour window to hold someone without charges.

DuPage State's Attorney Joseph Birkett and the ex-boyfriend's attorney, Marc Wolfe, are expected to meet Friday morning to discuss the case. Wolfe declined to comment, but other sources have said his client was gambling at an Aurora riverboat at the time of the shootings - an alibi supported by video surveillance footage and credit cards receipts.

Authorities are investigating a link between Nodarse and Angela Kramer's ex-boyfriend, whom the Daily Herald is not naming because he has not been charged. The two men are friends, sources said, and at some point early Tuesday, Nodarse is seen joining him on the riverboat surveillance footage.

With that 72-hour window passing this morning, there's been no update as to any charges. Angela's phone call to police came around 3 a.m. and Nodarse was seen with the ex-boyfriend on camera around 4 a.m.
