Do This: Housemade Cheese and Wine Party at David Burke's Primehouse
Last October Rick Gresh, the executive chef at David Burke's Primehouse, went on a field trip to Grassfields Cheese in Coopersfield, MI with his kitchen staff to make cheese and learn about Grassfields' offerings. Tonight Gresh will unveil that cheese, an organic Lamont Cheddar, at a 6 p.m. party in Primehouse's lobby bar at the James Hotel (616 N. Rush St.).
In addition to the cheese, guests can snack on future menu items such as Petite Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Beer Cheese Soup and Ham & Cheese Croquettes. Sommelier Rachael Johnson will have wines to pair on hand, including Andeluna Malbec from Mendoza Argentina, Vintage 2008 which will be offered at the special price of $7/glass.
