In His Words: Milton Bradley = Kanye

By Marcus Gilmer in Miscellaneous on Mar 25, 2010 4:20PM

Leave it to Milton Bradley to say something that actually kinda makes sense but still has a delusional twist to it. In a recent interview, Bradley (who's no stranger to running his mouth), said:

"If I was a musician, I'd be Kanye West. If I was in the NBA, I'd be Ron Artest. In baseball, they've got Milton Bradley. I'm that guy. You need people like me, so you can point your finger and go, 'There goes the bad guy."

Well, if by that you mean acting like someone who has an undeniable talent and potential that unfortunately goes to waste and is undermined by horrendous attitude problems and childish outbursts, then...yeah. We'll go with it. (Adding to that persona, Bradley was ejected twice in a three game span last week for the Mariners.) Bradley later added in the interview:

"I had a teammate last year who said if I ever change, he'd kick my [rear]. So I'm not changing. Everybody is not going to love you, no matter how you treat other people, no matter what you say. [I] never say anything bad about anybody. Somebody is always going to have something bad to say about you."

While there's certainly truth to some of that statement, we doubt Milton, like his musical counter-part Kanye, is self-aware enough to recognize he only has himself to blame for a lot of those bad things people say.
