Hoops Doc Is A Chicago Product
Tonight, PBS with nationally air the documentary The Street Stops Here, which tells the story of Hall of Fame-nominated high school basketball coach Bob Hurley Sr. and his nationally recognized basketball program at St. Anthony High School in inner city Jersey City, NJ. But there's a bit of a Chicago taste to the film. It was produced by local company TeamWorks Media, including Chicago residents Jay Sharman and Mike Sear, was directed by South Side native Kevin Shaw, and features Rashon Burno, formerly of DePaul and currently boys' basketball coach at Marmion Academy in Aurora. The film airs tonight on WTTW at 9 p.m.
