Taste of Chicago Music Anounces Musical Slate
By L. Stolpman in Arts & Entertainment on Apr 15, 2010 6:20PM
Most of the music line up (still some TBAs in there) for this summer's Taste of Chicago has been announced and it's the usual, middle of the road eclectic mix meant to entertain a broad mass of people that attend the annual festival. The line-up features a mix of hip-hop, pop, and classic rock that attendees will either love, tolerate, or find a reason to skip out on and hit up all the good food booths.
While some of the acts have us thinking "Hmmm, not too bad," nostalgic way (Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Salt'n'Peppa), others have us raising our eyebrows (Gavin Rossdale) or shrugging out of indifference (Rob Thomas). Still, the lineup will, of course, be a success, even if a little bland, as thousands upon thousands upon thousands descend on Grant Park.
