SDS Trio, Group Mind Films Meld For An Evening Of Music

When Group Mind Films put together their first film American Legacy, they drafted local rock band SDS Trio to score the movie. This weekend, the band is taking to the stage to perform music they recorded for the film to celebrate not only the music, but everyone involved in the creative process behind the locally-made movie featuring a slew of Chicago improv actors and actresses.

The show goes down this Saturday night at The Edgewater Beach Cafe and if the ticket price seems a bit steep at first - $30 per person or $40 for a couple - consider what you'll receive in exchange. Besides two sets from the band, you'll also snag a copy of the band's LP, "This is the SDS Trio," a copy of the film American Legacy, and a coupon for a free drink. Oh, and you're supporting some great local creative talent in the process while having an enjoyable evening of entertainment. Spaces are limited and filling up fest, so be sure to contact the cafe to reserve your spot.
