Food Pr0n at Big and Little's.

By L. Stolpman in Food on May 10, 2010 4:00PM

We stopped in at Big and Little's last week to get a taste of what reviewers on yelp have been raving about from this still relatively secret joint: the fish tacos. We were not disappointed. The fish was seasoned well and piping hot, the sauce was generous and had a nice kick, and the crunchy cabbage gave us a good crunch. We stuck around for fish and chips (really good - the batter isn't too heavy and the fish was flaky, hot and tasty), truffle fries, and a fish sandwich (ooh, so *this* is how it's supposed to taste!). We need to go back, however, because we've heard incredible things about the hamburgers (meat ground each morning!) and the squid taco...oh, and the crab tostada....and the foie gras fries. Actually, we'll have to go back a few times.

Be sure to check out the picture of the menu - the prices are right for two to eat for $20. Go visit Gary Strauss (Big) and Tony D'Allessandro (Little) at Big and Little's at 939 N. Orleans. Need a map? Here you go.
