Kanye West’s first new material in (for the hip-hop world is equivalent to) a millennium dropped today and it’s a tidy little slice of hip-pop. Yanking the title of hipstastic ingenuity back from protégé Kid Cudi, “Power” features a children’s choir (sample? source? anyone?) and a nice little snippet of early prog-rockers King Crimson (pre-trio, overblown days). Snag it and let’s kick off this holiday weekend with a bang, y’all!
