VP Biden Fundraises for Dan Seals, Alexi Giannoulias

Vice President Joe Biden spoke at the Union League Club in Chicago this afternoon to fundraise for House candidate Dan Seals. Biden spoke to a crowd of around 200 for about 40 minutes, defending the Obama administration, his love of the Philadelphia Flyers and urging voters to send Seals to Capitol Hill. Biden chided Republicans, saying “listen to the Republicans, you’d think that all our good days are behind us.”

Campaigning on behalf of Seals, the Tribune reports Biden said “We need people who first of all trust the American people, two are willing to take what they know immediately will be an unpopular vote and have the intelligence and capacity to understand that that vote is the only thing that’s going to lead us to a place to restore the credibility of the country and the opportunity for the people.” The Vice President will go on to shake hands with supporters for the Alexi Giannoulias campaign.
