Another Terrifying Raccoon Attack

It seems the raccoons are taking over. Not long after an "orangutan-sized" raccoon attacked one local household amid the expanding presence of Mother Nature's bandits, one Lake Villa family also came under attack in an incident that sounds like a recreation of a scene from The Prophecy. A raccoon apparently took up residence at the Gomez's family home in Lake Villa and on Sunday, the critter dropped through the ceiling and into the bed of 9-year-old Enrique Gomez, waking he and his younger brother Jonathon. The two boys escaped the raccoon's wrath while their father, Cutberto, called animal control.
That was when the real destruction took place. Besides the one-foot-by-one-foot hole in the ceiling, the raccoon tried to get out the window and destroyed the window blinds and chewed almost all of the wood on the window frame trying to get out. One wall showed traces of blood where the animal tried to claw its way through the drywall to escape from the room. "The animal control woman said we had to throw all this stuff out," said Gomez, because of the blood and feces everywhere in the room.
The raccoon was described as "fierce" and even made a ruckus after being placed in a cage by animal control but was deemed "safe," i.e., neither rabid nor mutant, and released into the wild where it will presumably find a new family to terrorize.
We, for one, welcome our new raccoon overlords. After the jump, behold The Prophecy's foretelling of this incident.
