City's Beaches Close To Swimming Tomorrow
When the first round of cool, crisp fall weather hit the city last week, some celebrated the first hint of fall while others lamented the impending end of summer. Today's temp will buck the cooler weather trend as highs will reach into the mid-to-upper 80s which make for a nice beach day. And you'd better take advantage because starting at 7 p.m. tonight, the city's beaches will officially be closed to swimming until May 2011. Which means you can still hit the beach but you just can't bask in the, uh, sparkling waters of Lake Michigan. Still, it's the first step towards fall which is the first step to the long, dark winter.
