Sorting Out The Mayoral Candidate Chaos

We're still probably a few weeks away from hearing the decision of many, many local politicos across the city who are considering running for mayor, many we didn't even know were considering running (Claypool, Fritchey, etc.). There's a lot of speculation and it's sometimes hard to keep track. Lucky for us, the fine folks at Progress Illinois have taken to sorting it all out with this pretty awesome spreadsheet which lists all the candidates who've been mentioned one way or another for the upcoming race (a whopping 41 names) as well as their status (in/mulling/rumored/out) and how much money they reportedly have saved up (through July 30). It could prove to be a vital resource to sort out information as the November filing deadline approaches.
