20x2 Proves Brevity Is The Soul Of Wit

2010_09_17_20x2.jpg It's an ingenious idea for a reading series: get 20 people together, ask them a question, but only give them two minutes to respond. You're going to get some interesting answers. And what brave souls would dare to take the stage at Martyr's and sweat under the lights while trying to answer the question "Who knew?" in such limited time?

A slew of talented people, that's who. Tonight's 20x2 event, put on by SXSW and our pals at Gapers Block, will test some pretty talented individuals: AV Club's Kyle Ryan, ChronicBabe's Jenni Prokopy, Metromix's Ernest Wilkins, Funny Ha Ha mastermind Claire Zulkey, Friend of Chicagoist and outstanding photog Laura Gray, and our personal sensei Scott Smith of Chicago magazine.

And that's just six of the 20 creative minds that will be gracing the stage tonight; all 20 readers are going to be worth hearing.

20x2, TONIGHT September 17, 8 p.m., Martyr's, 3855 N. Lincoln Ave., $10
