2011 is only negative 3 months old, but it’s already going to be a stellar year for live music. How can we be so sure? According to our crystal ball -- by which we mean a press release and AV Club Chicago -- reunited post-punk revivalists The Dismemberment Plan have announced a Chicago show for Saturday, February 19, 2011.

The show, which is part of their previously announced tour celebrating the vinyl re-issue of the band’s 1999 classic Emergency & I, will take place at the Metro. Tickets for the 18+ show go on sale at noon on October 1st--as in this Friday--and will cost $20. The Chicago show is the only Midwest date thus far announced for this tour, so be sure to get your browser refresher finger ready. It goes without saying that this show will sell out. In the meantime, why not enjoy a classic D-Plan jam?
