Today in Rahm Watch 2K10-11: the outgoing White House Chief of Staff received a parting gift of a dead Asian carp wrapped in today's editions of the Tribune and Sun-Times from Austan Goolsbee, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, as President Obama made official what everyone with a pulse has known for weeks.

"We could not have accomplished what we've accomplished without Rahm's leadership," Obama said in an address in the White House's East Room, which is often reserved for visits from heads of state. Emanuel will be replaced by Pete Rouse, whose calm demeanor will be a stark contrast to Emanuel's aggressive, abrasive personality.

Next up for Rahmbo: kicking off a "listening tour" of Chicago neighborhoods and (possibly finding a place to live while he tries to kick the renters out of his home).

"We could not have accomplished what we've accomplished without Rahm's leadership," Obama said

For once I agree with Obama, but I think he doesn't see the irony in his statement.
