All you have to do is spend your career representing Chicago citizens, building a massive war chest, gathering signatures, amassing volunteers, getting endorsements, and motivating people to get out and vote for you over a crowd of other mayoral wannabes.

Or, you could check in a bunch of times on Foursquare.

Kevin Lynch with Proximity joins us today to talk about their Foursquarian Candidate project, and we could have gotten into all sorts of serious conversation talking about the resemblances between this and the original intents of the founders to take our representatives from the general citizenry at large and not from career politicians and all that jazz. But we didn't. However, we did talk about tourists and Nazis. So, there's that.
