CTA Announces Holiday Train Schedule

Tracy Swartz, RedEye's CTA jefe, Just posted the schedule for this year's Holiday Train. The 19th annual edition of the train, which miraculously has survived a few rounds of budget cuts in recent years, starts rolling along the Red and Purple Lines November 20 and 21.

Here at Chicagoist, we're big fans of the Holiday Train. We'll refer you to our post about the train from last year as a nice jumping-on point. The schedule for the train follows.

• Nov. 20, 21: Red and Purple Lines
• Nov. 24, 26, 27: Green Line
• Dec. 1: Pink Line
• Dec. 2-4: Blue Line
• Dec. 8-11: Brown and Orange Lines
• Dec. 15: Red Line
• Dec. 16: Purple Line
• Dec. 17, 20: Red Line
• Dec. 21: Purple Line
• Dec. 22: Skokie Swift
